I really tried to get this in on Valentine's Day, but couldn't meet the deadline...
8 days later... here it is
Kinda different from my other stuff, but still with a fight scene. Enjoy!
I just started on it. Give me at least 2 weeks. I do want to take my time on this one to use what I've learned so far and to let my creativity simmer. This should be the final installment to the Ibuki vs Makoto series.
Going back to dubstep/drum n bass for music, should run around 4 minutes long. Will use the same specifications and same sounds. That's all I have for now.
I've just submitted the Ibuki vs Makoto 4... the next installment of the Ibuki vs Makoto series.
Let me know what you think. Enjoy!
Most of the fight choreography is done. Just applying finishing touches, dialogue, and ending credits...
Not sure whether to upload the movie before or after Valentine's Day...
but I think I will upload it some time today.
Stay tuned - Thank you for your patience.
Despite the rough criticism of Ibuki vs Makoto 3 and while my motivation is still with me, I've began work on Ibuki vs Makoto 4. I plan to have it complete in the next 2 weeks or so. It should follow the same flow as 2 and 3; it will start off from the end of 3. I'm happy with the progression of the fight so far. If it becomes successful, I'll combine 2, 3, and 4 into one big file.
I've chosen a 2 minute and 30 second song (slow heavy metal-ish with a nice flute) so the fight should last a while. Since I like to challenge myself, I hope to introduce more complicated choreography. I've decided to keep it at 24 FPS since the animation is fluid enough.
That's all the information I can give so far. I'll post updates later. Thank you for your patience.
Ibuki vs Makoto 3 is about 90% complete. It's a bit rushed, about 1 and a half weeks work. That is because I am very excited to release the third installment of Ibuki vs Makoto, especially for those who enjoyed Ibuki vs Makoto 2. I am very thankful to have received constructive feedback and a trophy for 4th place. It has inspired me to develop my creativity and animation skills. Thank you, Newgrounds!
About part 3, my whole premise was to animate a 3-way fight for the first time using Street Fighter sprites ripped by ZweiFuss. I have actually experimented with it before, but was unsuccessful at bringing it to life. Part 3 is about the same length as part 2, with less unnatural moves (like hanging on the side of the screen when there is no solid object to hang onto) and more creative fight choreography. Also, I'm going drum n bass music with the battle scene to maintain a fast tempo in the fight.
Once again, I'm very excited about this. I'd like to thank every one for their patience. I hope not to disappoint with this sequel.
Ibuki vs Makoto 2 is complete!

Always looking to improve.
Happy New Year Newgrounds!
I'm at it again. Since I got a new laptop, I've been playing around with Flash again. After re-watching my old short movies, I decided that I want to do it again, but it seems sprite animations are uncommon now that is 2012. However, 8-bit flash games seem to be more popular now. Any way, it looks like it will be tough to win the crowd with sprites.
Using same sound effects, but trying dubstep as the battle music. I'm hoping to bring sprite animations back to life.
I'm back and have a decent laptop to do work on.
I'm thinking of starting Dudley vs ??? (Ep 3) to work the rust off.
UPDATE: there's going to be a Dudley vs ??? (Ep 3) :)
